Starting a blog is a journey filled with excitement, challenges, and unexpected lessons. Writing my first blog post in 2026 marked a significant milestone for me, as I am NOT a writer but I am eager to share ideas and connect.

First Session of 2026 Keerat 17 days new!!! Studio Newborn Session

The First Session a beautiful baby girl named Keerat.

Keerat was my very first baby in 2026! We had an incredible newborn session right here in my home studio in Blind Bay. Keerat's older sister was bursting with energy and friendliness during our time together, and you could just see how proud she was! Keerat's parents, who are absolutely amazing, work and live in Salmon Arm. They made the big move from India just five years ago, and what an adjustment that must have been! We had such a fantastic visit while capturing some truly memorable photos. Although the session was a bit longer at three hours—since Keerat was a little older than my usual bookings, making her more awake and a bit fussy when posing—we still managed to capture some stunning photos. Session Overview

This particular session was a memorable family gathering that included Mom, Dad, and their sister. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and joy as they came together to create lasting memories through photography. The session was meticulously planned to capture the essence of their family bond, resulting in a collection of 10 beautifully curated photos that showcase their unique personalities and relationships.

Photography Details

Throughout the session, a variety of poses and settings were explored, allowing for a diverse range of shots that highlighted both candid moments and more traditional family portraits. The inclusion of close-up shots added depth to the collection, emphasizing the emotions and expressions that truly define their family dynamic. Each photograph was taken with careful consideration, ensuring that every smile, laugh, and loving glance was preserved for years to come. All props and outfits for baby are provided for.

Time Investment

The process was extensive, starting with a 3.5-hour studio session where I captured the best angles and lighting while making the family comfortable. After the shoot, 10 hours were spent editing, selecting the best images, adjusting colors, enhancing details, and retouching to ensure high-quality final products. Additionally, 2 hours were dedicated to setting up and cleaning the studio, including arranging backdrops and lighting equipment.

The total cost for this comprehensive photography experience was $425. This price reflects not only the time spent during the actual session but also the extensive editing and preparation involved.
